About Me
I got involved in the school funding crisis after realizing how dire the circumstances are in my school district. I was so alarmed, I decided to inform my friends & found they were equally shocked. I wrote letters & learned the funding crisis was NOT just a local problem. I informed LOTS of parents by sending E-mails (over 2,000) to all school districts in CA. I’m basing my efforts on these principles: I want to inspire parents to get involved & let our elected officials know how school funding impacts them & their children. I want to do this in a positive manner. I know CA is in trouble financially. But, I also know children are not something we can put into a state of suspended animation while we wait for the economy to improve. If we miss out on this opportunity to provide them with a quality education, we will have missed out on the opportunity of a lifetime. By working together, I hope our elected officials will come to understand what the real impact of funding is on CA's kids. They need to see & hear our stories firsthand & realize how important school funding is to parents, the voters of the state.
